Fluff Buddies is a 501(c)(3) non-profit group of dedicated volunteers. Our purpose is to provide shelter, food, medical care, and love to homeless felines until we find them loving, forever homes. In addition to adoptable pets, we also have barn cats who want to live outdoors, but still require a safe and warm place to sleep and some food and water. They can help with rodent problems. The Orphan Kitten Project is an entirely student run rescue organization based out of the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Our mission is to rescue kittens that are too young to be taken into shelters (less than 8 weeks of age) and raise them in foster homes until they are old enough to be adopted. We also aim to educate veterinary students on caring for young kittens through hands on learning. OKP covers all housing and medical costs for kittens in the program and every kitten is vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and micro-chipped prior to adoption.
